About
Ana Morales, Expressionist & figurative Painter
Ana Morales is a developed Puerto Rican artist and entrepreneur. She is an expressionist painter whos' focus has been the human condition, blending realism and abstraction to create deeply personal and emotionally charged artwork. Her strength lies in her draftsmanship and composition, using classic mediums like oil and acrylic paint, lead and charcoal, while also exploring collage and mixed media. Working with a variety of clients she has pushed her boundaries to include elaborate design motifs that draw from historic sources.
Having moved from Puerto Rico to New York at a very young age and attending Catholic School in the Bronx her environment and culture have influenced her perspective and how she sees the world around her. In High School her portfolio earned her a scholarship to SCAD- The Savannah College of Art and Design where her desire to create public works led her to seek opportunities to earn some college credits by volunteering in the local Savannah community. Ana created murals at Jordye Bacon Elementary School and a local Hospice. She graduated with a double major in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Art History.
In 2008, she founded Art by Ana LLC, offering services ranging from murals, wall & ceiling designs to artistic finishes and antique restoration. Ana now aspires to pursue a higher education and become a college professor, guiding future artists in discovering their creative voices.
